About the Lead Designer
Design KungFu is the studio name under which I, Esther Ball-Babois, design, illustrate and code.
I turned my early years of drawing in class into a Graphic Design degree—at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, where I was taught the perfect blend of old-school print design with no room for error and mandatory perfection alongside all the possibilities and excitement of interactive media.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, my European style, work ethics and standards blend in nicely with the American desire for innovation and technology. My experience in the graphic design and the web design field includes working with several different agencies ranging in size and ambition. My inspiration can come from something as simple as a single line, European Street Art, Japanese Design, Pop Art, or complex UI structures.
Currently I work full-time for a Denver based website development company where I primarily design and (hand) code websites, I always strive to look for new ways to make things work and to evolve the quality of my code. To give my client a good looking and easy site that is easy to navigate website (also called UI design), built with high quality code and innovative programming is my primary goal.
