From below sea level to altitude
I turned my early years of drawing in class into a Graphic Design degree at GLR ('03), where I was taught the perfect blend of old-school print design with no room for error and mandatory perfection alongside all the possibilities and excitement of interactive media.
Since then I have taught myself to code, starting with framesets(!) which allowed me to turn my designs into working websites. My desire to solve problems has turned my focus to Data Visualization Design and Usability Design. With my minimal design style, Dutch work ethics and American drive for innovation result in lean code and clean, usable applications.
Currently I work and live in Colorado (USA) but have lived in several different places all over the world such as Australia, the Netherlands and Japan. In my free time I like to spend time outdoors, attempt one-off DIY projects and traveling with my little family. I am fluent in English and Dutch.
